About Moon Festival:

Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is an ancient and culturally significant celebration observed by various East Asian countries, including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Singapore. This festival takes place on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, when the moon is believed to be at its fullest and brightest, symbolizing unity and togetherness.

The origins of the Moon Festival can be tlraced back over 3,000 years to Chinese folklore and mythology. Legend has it that the festival commemorates Chang'e, the moon goddess, who swallowed an elixir of immortality and ascended to the moon, residing there with the Jade Rabbit as her companion. To honor her and pray for her blessings, people began gathering to admire the moon during this time of the year.
